Individual Support

Somatically-oriented therapies with
an emotionally focused and
attachment-based lens.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), and I have a Master's degree in counselling psychology. I retired as an acupuncturist after over 14 years in practice. I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities who face various forms of oppression and racism and those who struggle with family dynamics. Hence, I know how important it is to ground any therapeutic work in an understanding of how systems impact our daily lives.

Over the years, I have helped clients dealing with many complex lived experiences, including anxiety, depression, personal and collective grief, loss, fertility issues, challenging family dynamics, low self-esteem and self-worth and existential concerns.

I specialize in trauma, exploring family dynamics, particularly those within Asian families, and assisting individuals in finding purpose in their lives.

Other areas I have experience in include:

  • Family of origin issues

  • Depression, Anxiety and Feeling Overwhelmed

  • Relationship breakdown

  • Loneliness and social isolation

  • Climate and ecological grief

  • Spiritual bereftness

  • Peri-Menopause, Menopause, Post-Menopause

  • Long COVID recovery

  • Immigrant Family Dynamics

  • Race-Based Stress & Trauma

  • and more…

Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.

“Patricia is a gifted therapist with a warm, compassionate, and supportive presence that has made me feel so safe.”

She is attentive and has allowed me to feel truly seen and heard. Her kindness is a balm in an increasingly stressful world. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
